Andrea Dykes, John Light and Nick Moore were out celebrating at the Admiral Duncan bar on Old Compton Street when the Soho Bomb exploded killing them, and injuring about 70 other people. Three trees were planted in remembrance of them in St Anne’s Gardens where there is an annual act of remembrance on the 30th April each year.
David Morley known by many as “Sinders”, survived the attack but was murdered 5 years later when he was targetted by a gang of youths whilst walking along the South Bank. A thousand people gathered in St Anne’s Gardens for a vigil for him, and he is fondly remembered each year.
