Our friends at Rainbow Hamlets have asked us to help promote East London Pride which will be taking place on Saturday 24th September. The event itself is being organised by a variety of local people including some former members of Out East – the people who helped organise the rather sucessful Hackney Pride event last year.
Mark Healey, chair of 17-24-30 said “After recent events, this is a genuine opportunity for people to support the LGBTQ communities in the East End. After the attempts of EDL to organise a gay pride march in Tower Hamlets it is really important that we show our support – there is no place for Homophobia and Racism in the East End. I really admire the work of the people involved in organising this event.”
Member of 17-24-30 will be supporting this event, so come down and join us on the march.
