17-24-30 facilitates April Acts of Remembrance

This month 17-24-30 will be facilitating three acts of remembrance to mark the anniversaries of the London nail bomb attacks on Brixton, Brick Lane and Soho.

Thirteen years ago David Copeland set out to spread fear, resentment and hatred within our communities, hoping that this would lead to a race war which would result in the election of the BNP. Luckily he failed, but not before he had killed three people, including a pregnant woman, and injured 129, four of whom lost limbs.

We gather during these acts of remembrance to remember those no longer with us and show our support to those who have been affected by these attacks. To demonstrate our commitment to work within our communities to ensure that those who seek to spread fear, resentment and hatred amongst us will always fail.

Brixton Act of Remembrance – 17th April.

  • Light three candles representing three communities attacked.
