Former Trustee passes away – Rest in Peace Antoni

We were saddened to hear that one of our former Trustees, Antoni Fletcher-Goldspink passed away this morning, after a long battle with Cancer.

Antoni first joined the 17-24-30 No To Hate Crime Campaign (as we were in 2009) as a volunteer to help us organise the London Vigils against Hate Crime between October 2009 to 2012. Later, as we evolved from a Facebook group into a small charity, he was one of our founding board of trustees alongside Jennie Oliver, Martine Whitaker, Mark Healey and Ryan Parkins.

He took on the role of our Press Officer, helping to write press releases, including one for the London Olympics when the charity was represented by Mark Healey during the London Olympics Torch Relay.

“Antoni was a larger than life character, he brought a lot of love and energy to the charity, as he did to all the causes that he was involved in. He helped us evolve from a Facebook group into a small charity, forming friendships which have lasted a lifetime. He will be greatly missed by all of us who have had the pleasure of spending time with him. Our thoughts are with his loved ones, his close family and friends.”
